Hello all

Firstly, happy new year to you all.

I have been a student of bangernomics for a little while now, having discivered Alfa 155's a little while back (they're not as unreliable as people think if you keep an eye on them). I got a tidy 2.5 V6 for £600, and it turned out to be a good 'un).

We have a Nissan Almera Tino as our main family car, and I am between cars at the moment (damn credit crunch) - looking at Audi Coupe's as a possibility for the next 'banger'.

As per my avatar, I like to polish the heck out of every car I own, often raising their value a bit in the process.

Anyway, I'm a bit of a forum junkie, so I expect I'll be on here quite a lot in the future. Bye for now

Good to hear from you Peach. There are loads of us who cheap and like you not neccessarily boring cars. One of the points of Bangernomics is to have fun too. Get a boring hack, but also something for the weekend. I will be trying to get a lot more people along here in 2009 as bangernomics has suddenly become very popular. I agree that the 300ZX is a superb and cheap set of wheels, but as you say not cheap to maintain when it has issues.

Audi coupe is a top banger, get a 2.3 5 pot, I always wanted one, sadly it's too small for the family (and all the crap we take)
