I got my car renewal today - £600

So went to confused and found the cheapest - £500

Then when I phone to confirm and say "I've changed the stock 16" VW alloy wheels for 17" VW wheels" they add £50 to the insurance quote!

I don't understand - especially when this car could have been bought brand new with 17" VW wheels...

The 17" wheels were only £120 odd 2nd hand anyway!?

Josh

Strange that - I rang my insurance up when I swapped the 14" steels for standard 15" alloys on my Rover 400 and the bloke said it was fine, no extra increase and that was that Smile

Car insurance is the biggest rip off ever, and I have recently been having problems with my job as a writer so that I can now only use one company...it is getting to be a worry. J
