PostSubject: Hi.   Sat Jun 04, 2016 5:56 pm

I have been roaming to forum world recently looking for a new home. My best car is a Volvo 940 and I have spent a lot of time on the owners forum but I also have other make cars. Of late I seem to have a thing for Vauxhalls. Had a few Mk3 Astras but have now moved onto a Mk4 and a Zafira. These are too new and standard for a couple of the forums I visit so I thought I would come on here to see how it fits.
I think my Zafira fits the bangernomics idea just right. Bought for 150 and after much cleaning and a bit of repair is back on the road for about 500. It looks a bit of a shed to be honest but is just right for what I want it for.

Thanks for the welcome. The Zafira is pretty much done but I might have a go at tidying to bodywork a bit. The Astra I bought a while back is in really good condition but had engine problems. That ended up having an engine rebuild which wasn't cheap. Even doing the work myself after getting it re-bored probably put it's overall cost up to something like 1200. Still if it doesn't rust away first it should in theory last another 85K miles before going bang again !
