130? Jeez, that's expensive!

Try using a cashback website
You buy your insurance through them, online, and when it all clears, you get cash back. My insurance was 175, via Prudential (BISL), and I got 75 back, making it 100 for a year's insurance. It works.

There's a similar deal for RAC membership, you can get basic membership for peanuts. (unfortunately, I need "Relay" facilities as well, so that's a bit more..)

Here's the deal:
RAC basic cover: 46, Online discount= 13, Cashback = 21.
Therefore cost = (33-21)=12
Get that? Basic RAC cover for 12...

I've just had another result with topcashback....

I used confused.com to find the cheapest insurance quote for my wife's car. ("Betty"... see elsewhere on this forum..). Then used topcashback to arrange the insurance through that insurer, and got 50 cashback as well.... RESULT!

Totally agree about using cash back sites for insurance!!.. Got wife and I fully comp on her Almera for under 100.

As for cheap breakdown with recovery: I just used this lot for my 13 year old Carisma cost only 29.00 for year (bronze policy) with no excess to pay and no penalty for old car.
