As another option, ref my first post, can one of these be as reliable as newer cars, there seems to be plenty of spares around, and with the exception of the sprint, are quite cheap.

I've had two Dollys, indeed when they were still in production. Don't get an automatic unless the gearbox has been rebuilt. Lovely cars, but awful in the ice.

Had to replace the radiator on my Princess 2000 this weekend. Took all of 20 minutes including refilling the coolant. An absolute delight to work on. This is an overhead view of the Princess six-cylinder 2200 engine. You could go for a walk around it! And they say modern cars are better!

PostSubject: Engine covers   Sun Mar 09, 2008 7:46 pm

I love an understandable engine compartment with plenty of space and that's why my old Landie is such a joy. Mini less so, but at least I understand what's going on, I hate the great big covers they have these days that are designed to put you off doing anything but topping up.
