I have to recommend the pound shops! Poundland, Poundworld and the 99p shop chain are all top places to look for bangernomic stuff. Wiper blades, WD40, wheel paint, antifreeze (500ml) and the essential gaffer tape can all be had for a pound. My best buy was alluminum tape which can be up to a fiver elsewhere. Not to mention tools. Very Happy

Yep I agree, little bits you would pay for in Halfords are for nothing!

Pound shops are great as are the motoring isles at supermarkets so long as you dont go looking for something specific but rather see what they have and buy stuff on sale to squirrel away for future use :Wky:

As basil brush used to say "thats the way to do it" lol!

thats what I do. You cant always get 20in wipers best for vans so I always try to keep a couple of pairs in stock. Two quid is doable but I dont want to spend twenty to leave in a box somewhere....

do agree about the pound store tools great to have buy one of everything but expect them to break if you use them a lot so replace with halford pro range as they have a life time garantee but you are only buying 1 spanner prob the 10mm one and still have the rest it is the way I work.

Also check lidl and auldi for car tools ther folding axle stands are great have had a set of years

Agree with this! Aldi in particular seem to have some cracking stuff available if you are willing to have a rake around. I don't think I've ever bought food/drink from an Aldi or Lidl, but their aisles right up the centre of the store where car stuff and other general random crap are stored are a goldmine for bargains sometimes.
