PostSubject: I really liked my Alfa   Fri Feb 01, 2013 10:15 am

I really liked my Alfa 155 2.0 16V Sport & 156 V6 but although mechanically reliable they both suffered with funny little faults like wipers packing up and reverse lights not working. I would have to say the 155 was the favourite. The phone rang off the hook when I sold it and the buyer said it was the best he had seen which made me think why did I sell it ?

This is not mine but it was identical to this.

I had an Alfa some years a go which went like s**t off a shovel, had to get rid of it before it got rid of me :Ang:

Alfas are great but the early ones suffered from the dreaded Fiat Group tin worm Sad

The engines often lived longer than the bodywork but i believe they are great to drive?

They say you need to drive an Alfa to be a real petrolhead alas i have never driven one so i will have to add that to my to do list :Wky:

I loved the styling of the original Alfasud such a shame you don't see many on the roads these days.

I ran a 156 for about 3 years and loved it. A 155 is still on my last.

V.nice

Just posted to Keithyboy that I always had a soft spot for Alfas. Ever since a neighbour had a Alfa 33 cloverleaf, nearly 30 years ago. One day maybe - perhaps once the kids have left home. . I don't think I'll live longer enough to drive the cars I'd like to drive, but Alfas are probably at the top. Laughing
